Responsibilities
Job Purpose
• The Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving sales, marketing, and branding objectives.
• The BD Manager will lead efforts in marketing, driving sales, and ensuring the delivery of quality services across all company lines of business, including school fees loans, construction/home improvement loans, business growth loans, land acquisition loans, vehicle acquisition loans, medical bills loans, invoice financing loans, tax financing loans, and more.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• The Business Development Manager's main responsibilities include:

Market Trends Focus
• Analyzing the money lenders environment.
• Developing better and competitive services.
• Piloting and rolling out new services.
• Creating efficient methods for delivering new services.
• Operationalizing a Digital Platform.
• Analyzing the total amount of services sold, including loans disbursed and the number of clients served by source, employment, nature of business, gender, etc.

Target Market Focus
• Increasing total loans disbursed to shareholders (member loans), salary earners, and business individuals.
• Enhancing sales and marketing efforts beyond reliance on referrals for new business.

Strategic Pricing
• Regularly reviewing and implementing the approved interest rate and service fee structure.
• Incorporating insurance into lending products and services.
• Sensitizing clients on loan acquisition incidental costs.

Product/Service Offering
• Developing and operationalizing a product/service offering matrix.
• Rolling out and marketing new products/services.
• Regularly reviewing the tenure and nature of products/services to match existing conditions and trends.
• Preparing comprehensive performance evaluation reports covering all products/services on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually basis.

Assured Customer Base
• Developing a tactical marketing plan to reach out to existing and new markets and clients effectively.

Sales and Marketing
• Ensuring sales presence at target markets (schools, hardware stores, trading areas, vehicle dealers, land dealers, target hospitals) and achieving respective sales targets.
• Maximizing sales initiatives around the Digital Platforms.
• Preparing sales and marketing reports.

Customer Experience
• Developing Advisory Services Offering.
• Preparing monthly repayment reminders.
• Undertaking quarterly client satisfaction surveys.
• Periodically training sales and marketing staff to excel in their roles.

Brand
• Undertaking marketing and promotion campaigns.
• Developing brochures and other sales/marketing tools for products/services.
• Conducting periodic outreaches to existing clients through SMS, email, WhatsApp, etc.

Qualifications
• Honours Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Financial Services, Economics, Statistics, or a related field from a recognized university/institution.
• Post-graduate training in Marketing and Sales Management, business administration, accounting, financial management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Membership of a professional Marketing Association/Institution will be an added advantage.

Details of experience
• At least 5 years of sales and marketing working experience, with 3 years served at a managerial or above level in a reputable organization, preferably a financial services provider

Bachelor Degree
