JOB DETAILS:
Overview
Our Client is a microfinance institution currently looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in selling Loan Products with existing networks and Corporate Circles to engage. As well as signing up and maintaining contact with new clients and also optimizing the relationships with current clients to increase the lending revenue.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Aid in credit appraisal of new and existing customers.
2. Implementing the Business Development Strategy and plans for the assigned portfolio.
3. Signing up new clients and optimizing relationships with existing customers.
4. Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks in order to locate prospects for advances.
5. Paying visits to potential and existing clients for the purpose of granting advances.
6. Conduct business intelligence from time to time to see what the competition is up to and how we can get an edge over them.
7. Preparing financial reports by ensuring all advances are being serviced as they should.
8. Collect advances and maintain good quality in terms of advance accounts in arrears.
1. Conduct client education on the features and requirements of the new product.
10. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management that are appropriate to the position.
Requirements/Qualifications:
1. Degree/Diploma in Sales and Marketing or business-related field
2. 5+ years of experience in similar roles and positions in a lending institution such as Sacco, microfinance, or bank.
3. Has previous experience selling corporate loan products in a Non-Deposit taking lending institution.
4. Should have existing and proven strong networks in corporate circles that you can leverage to bring new business to the company.
5. Must have a clear understanding of aspects of credit administration, loan book (portfolio management), customer acquisition, crisis management, and risk management.
6. Must have a clear understanding of the lending cycle.
7. Good Presentation and Communications skills.
8. Flexible and willing to work.
