Position: Business Development and Change Management Consultant

Duration: 48 Hours (8 Hours per day)
Reporting to: Laura Brooks (Tackle) and Susan Nalubya (NTIHC)
Introduction and background to the project
Tackle is a sports-for-development NGO specialising in HIV/SRHR, providing HIV/SRHR information and services through a network of trained football coaches who deliver information interactively on the football pitch. Capitalising on the huge popularity of football in Africa, Tackle football sessions and tournaments attract thousands of young people, providing HIV/SRHR services in a unique way.
We work through partner organisations to access the most vulnerable young people and to deliver our projects. We are currently working across Kampala with Naguru Teenage Information and Health Centre (NTIHC). NTIHC is registered as a local NGO in Uganda and is the pioneer programme in providing Youth Friendly Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) services in Uganda. The purpose of its establishment was to increase awareness and adoption of safe adolescent sexual reproductive health behaviour and practices among young people by providing adolescent sexual reproductive health services and information.
The Context
NTIHC is undergoing a period of transition. The transition is characterised by change of leadership both at management and Board level, change of organisational structure, change of funding sources, change of strategies and approaches. In June 2022, NTIHC engaged a consultant to develop a Business Development and Sustainability Plan. The Business development and sustainability plan recommended strategies and approaches to sustain NTIHC beyond donor funding.
As part of our commitment to capacity development of our partners, Tackle has set aside funding to build the capacity of NTIHC as an institution and its staff to be able to cope with change to ensure a successful and professional transition without causing any damage to NTIHC as an institution and to the staff but also to enhance the institutional capacity to implement the Business Development and Sustainability Plan.
We are looking for an experienced business development and change management consultant to assist NTIHC (and indirectly, Tackle) equip staff with change management skills but also develop institutional and staff capacity to implement the Business Development and Sustainability Plan.
