JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
The Buy Back Centre Supervisor is responsible for the Buy Back Centre in Uganda and will report to the Buy center Supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervising day-to-day operations (30%)
• Conduct training, and present ideas for more efficient processes and better waste sorting/separation results (10%).
• Assure plastics sorting quality via implementation of due diligence procedures (35%).
• Data Checks and Data Verification for all material procured and dispatched in interaction with the collaborating internal departments (5%).
• Check and report daily attendance, Casual Workers’ management (5%).
• Effective communication with the main office and the management (5%).
• Implementation & Control of H&S requirements as per internal policies (5%).
• Good interaction with the waste procurement department (5%).

Specific Responsibilities
• Overseeing all activities within the buyback center to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company standards.
• Monitoring daily activities, waste pickers/supplier inquiries and complaints, and resolving issues.
• Fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and maintaining high employee morale.
• Conducting quality checkups to establish the quality standard of the sorted materials.
• Providing assistance to the site Administrators in their day today operational duties.
• Coordinating with the maintenance team to order supply.
• Conducting stocktake on a daily basis.
• Oversee any stock related documentation
• Conducting Weekly internal Requisition for dispatch plan.
• Preparing and reviewing weekly reports together with the Buyback Centre Manager and making decisions based on findings.
• Identifying and addressing any operational or logistical issues that may arise.
• Communicate weekly logistics needs and coordinate recyclables dispatches with the Head of logistics.
• Ensure compliance with the prevailing company standard operating procedures and policies.
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory, and preparing reports as required.
• Take charge to train casual workers to improve the efficiency of the team.
• Performing any other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years and above experience in Warehouse / Stock /Quality control management.
• Degree/Diploma in Business Management/ Administration/Environmental Science is a must.
• Strong Leader with excellent interpersonal and team skills.
• Understanding of waste management programs and plastic processing shall be an added advantage.
• Hands on mentality.
• Open and honest communication style.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a busy environment.
• Computer literate with extensive experience in using Microsoft office packages.
