JOB DETAILS:

Desirable Requirements:
• More than 6 years of experience in a similar role.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Registered member of a relevant professional body.
• At least 5 years of experience working on similar assignments in Sub-Saharan Africa, ideally in Uganda.
• Familiarity with project implementation procedures of major funding agencies such as the Islamic Development Bank, World Bank, and EU.
• Knowledge of UNRA standards and relevant regional/international design and construction standards.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team, preferably with Ugandan consultants.
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Google Earth Pro.
• Strong time management, task management, and follow-up skills.
• Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Review the contractor’s shop drawings
• Assist the engineer's representative for managing quantity and cost.
• Assist the Engineer and Engineer’s representative for assessing Contractor’s claims.
• Engineer’s representative to review the contractor’s shop drawing
• Keep full and detailed permanent site records, which will include site correspondence, survey data, quality acceptance data, day work records, site diaries, measurement and other field records.
• Prepare data presented in regular monthly progress reports.
• Provide measurement and inspection data required for interim payments.
• Ensure that the construction works& maintenance are executed in accordance with all the provisions of the contract, including those concerning standards of workmanship, and other safety provisions and protection of the environment.
• Keep and maintain full and detailed permanent site and laboratory records, which will include test data, quality acceptance data, site diaries and other quality-related data.
• Inventory of the condition of Existing Road Condition.
• Any other tasks requested by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer

Their service contract will run for one -year on a renewable basis.
