Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Board in developing and driving the mission, long and short-term strategic plans for the organization.
• Provide leadership and direction to the organization and ensure hospital mandates and policies are implemented fully and effectively in line with the strategic plan.
• Ensure the hospital is well resourced to enable it to achieve the approved plans.
• Ensure prudent management of resources for the achievement of the Hospital’s mandate and strategic objectives.
• Oversee and supervise fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting.
• Comply with regulations governing hospitals and the rules of accrediting bodies and represent the hospital in legal matters.
• Foster a smoothly functioning, efficient organization through anticipating problems and the timely and effective resolution of disruption, while ensuring safety in all hospital operations.
• Ensure the preparation of performance management reports as required, including annual reports and accounts.
• Project a strong and positive corporate image, demonstrating integrity and a strong commitment to service provision, both within the hospital and externally. Ensure effective collaboration with external stakeholders

Qualifications
• A minimum of a University Degree with relevant professional qualification preferably in Health Sciences.
• A Master’s degree in Business Administration would be an added advantage.
• Membership to relevant professional bodies

Details of experience
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience (post qualification)
• Seven (7) years of which must be in senior management position(s).
