Cad Designer

Roles and Responsibilities
• Designing project frameworks, producing detailed construction and design plans for architects and engineers from other disciplines to follow.
• Collaborating with industrial and packaging engineers to develop, manufacture and market products.
• Assist the construction team to interpret the Approved for Construction Design and respond to formal construction queries.
• Perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading CAD models.
• Design, develop and engineer high quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools.
• Produce designs that meet targets for feasibility, performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation, and timing.
• Ensure that all work carried out in compliance with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance, and procedural standards.
• Interact with architect and engineers, as necessary to obtain critical design information necessary to complete project within intended time frame.
• Assist in improving daily processes to ensure that the CAD systems meet customer requirements.
• Determine limitations, assumptions and solutions in the design and development of CAD models.
• Determine design specifications and parameters for CAD models. Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil engineering, construction, Petrochemical or the related.
• Membership of a related Professional Institution or body preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil/ structural/ design engineering or similar.
• Familiarity with the site H3SE requirements to enable safe operation of the Field Engineer and those working with and for them.
• An understanding and or interpretation of the specific contract scopes or work.
• Strong understanding of home discipline installation / construction techniques and approaches.
• A familiarity with the design tools used in the home discipline engineering and an understanding of systems, processes and tools specifically related to the site.
• Good communication skills to be able to inform and persuade on complex matters as well as collaboration with stakeholders and management.
• Ability to interpret Local, National and Project design codes and specifications.
