Who we are
Joy for Children Uganda (JFCU) is non-profit children’s rights center and non-Government (NGO) organization established in Kampala to respond to the plight of vulnerable children in Uganda. Joy for Children Uganda is dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to end injustice to children and advocate for and support the rights and needs of vulnerable children in Uganda.
JFCU hosts Girls Not Brides Uganda, The Uganda Partnership to End child marriage with a membership of 106 Civil Society Organizations working at community, regional and national level to end child marriage and teenage pregnancy in Uganda.
Joy For Children –Uganda also hosts and coordinates MenEngage Uganda, a network of 60 CSOs working to engage men and boys in reducing gender inequalities, preventing gender based violence, reducing HIV, and promoting good health of women, girls, boys and men.
We are searching for a reliable and trustworthy volunteers to join us.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
• Understanding your role and responsibilities as well as the rules and safety regulations of the organization.
• Completing the relevant training and asking questions if you are uncertain about anything.
• Completing all duties assigned by the supervisor and reporting any issues immediately.
• Observing the rules and safety regulations of the organization while carrying out tasks.
• Arriving on time for duty and remaining professional in your interactions with all stakeholders.
• Making recommendations for improvement where feasible and appropriate.
• Delivering presentations or reports if necessary.
• work with the supervisor or relevant stakeholders when you are running late or unable to fulfill your duties.
• Support fundraising team in resource mobilization.
• Support project officers in executing project duties like note taking during project implementation.

Volunteer Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree on Social Work and Social Administration, Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning and Management, Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Bachelors in Monitoring and Evaluation.
• Completion of relevant training might be required.
• willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• A high degree of professionalism and the ability to follow instructions.
• Respect and diligence.
• Good time management.
• Basic knowledge on using a computer
Support
• Training for this position will be provides and the Ass Programs manager will be available for questions and assistance.
