JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide technical support to the TAF (AIC) Soroti region team in monitoring and evaluating the training services, and ensuring that the services meet the set TAF (AIC) standards.
Key Outputs
• Support supervision work plans and budgets developed
• Standard Operating Procedures developed and updated
• Support supervision tools developed • Technical support provided to trainers.
• Monitoring and evaluation of training activities conducted
• Reports compiled and disseminated
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in making of work plans and budgets for the quality assurance of the training function at the region
• Initiate and coordinate the development and regular review of performance guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures for training services
• Take lead in designing and developing tools and systems for monitoring and evaluating training activities
• Provide technical support to the training function
• Conduct support supervision of trainers and make reports
• Monitor quality of training
• Review reports of training activities to assess progress and pick up any issues that require follow-up
• Participate in the organization and implementation of counselling review workshops to capture areas of growth in counselling and community work
• Participate in review and development of relevant curricula
• Provide leadership in carrying out periodic surveys and evaluations to assess the impact of training
• Prepare regular progress reports and submit to the Capacity Development Advisor
• Spearhead the conducting of impact assessments of training activities
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS: Capacity Development Officer
Minimum Academic Qualifications
• Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing or Clinical Medicine. Postgraduate training in Public Health is an added advantage.
Additional Training Necessary

• Counselling
Required Experience and Skills
• 5 years in Training, in an HIV/AIDS Service organization
• HIV/AIDS care and support
• Curriculum development

Level of Education: Associate Degree
