The Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda ( ICGU ) was incorporated in December 199B as a company limited by guarantee and officially launched in October 2000. The ICGU is not for profit organization established in Uganda to foster the corporate governance values oi accountability, transparency, integrity, and responsibility.
The institute derives its mandate from the memorandum of association and it is governed by an 11 member Council. its membership cuts across all sectors and embraces both individuals and corporate members.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the institute is to promote good governance in Uganda through training, publications, and advocacy, among others. The CEO of the institute shall be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the institute to facilitate the achievement of this purpose in a sustainable manner..

Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer in liaison with the Executive Committee of the institute is responsible for the success of ICGU. Reporting to the Governing Council, s(he) will ensure the relevance oi the institute in promoting corporate governance to the nation & beyond, good publicity, accomplishment of its mission, vision and strategic objectives, and accountability of the institute to its diverse stakeholders.

As a CEO, you will be responsible to the Governing Council and directly supervised by the ICGU President in the performance of the duties.
