ASA International established as ‘Greenfield’ micro finance operations in lndia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Myanmar, Sierra Leone and Gambia. Each of these institutions is owned and managed by
ASA International and built from the ground up with the support of ASA Bangladesh. We are seeking to fill a full time position with intelligent, long term committed and self-motivated energetic individual to join ASA Uganda.
Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Organization: ASA Microfinance (Uganda) Ltd
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Salary: Negotiable.
Job Summary: The CFO will support the local management and Group CFO in developing and implementing the company’s strategic financial objectives, ensure effective internal controls and compliance with financial reporting standards and other regulatory and reporting requirements.

Job Descriptions
• Balance Sheet review with focus on Asset Liability Management.
• Coordination and liaison with Group on Budgeting and Projections with standards applicable to a financial institution in the public sector, Variance Analysis and Actual Reporting.
• Develop the in house built IT platform alongside the IT department. Financial report design
• Covenant reporting, Lender reporting, Treasury functions including but not limited to hedging, transfer pricing, foreign exchange analysis, lender pricing, search. liaison and contract overview,
• Guidance to subordinates on corporate tax computation. Review the work of juniors and consult with the CEO, Local and Global tax perspective.
• Support the External audit.
• Statutory reporting, requirements, Global (UK) Group reporting, requirements.
• HO (head Office) requirements
• Any other work, project as assigned by the Group or Country's CEO.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Should hold a Master's degree in a related business field and professional qualification in Accounting. Must have CPA/ACCA.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance/accounting department of a reputable financial/ multinational organization/ large publicity traded institution
• Extensive knowledge in implementation of international financial reporting standards especially applicable for financial institutions.
