JOB DETAILS:
About PEAS:
PEAS is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to expand access to quality secondary education in underserved communities across Africa. With 38 schools serving over 20,000 students in Uganda and Zambia and partnerships with governments in Ghana, Uganda, and Zambia, PEAS has a track record of delivering equitable, cost-effective, and high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & School Performance:
o Ensure PEAS schools deliver transformative education across access, quality, and sustainability pillars.
o Drive continuous improvement across the school network (38 schools).
2. Scaling Impact:
o Strengthen government partnerships and scale best practices to 300+ partner schools by 2025.
3. Strategic Partnerships:
o Cultivate and maintain funding relationships with key organizations like FCDO, USAID, and Mastercard Foundation.
4. Evidence & Advocacy:
o Lead research agendas to improve programs and contribute to global evidence on education in rural contexts.
o Represent PEAS in sector advocacy and thought leadership.
5. Organizational Leadership:
o Build and inspire a high-performing education and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team.
o Set the strategic direction and align efforts across multiple country teams.

Key Qualifications:
• Experience:
o Over 7 years in senior leadership within fast-growing organizations.
o Expertise in education, multicultural team leadership, and evidence-driven program management.
• Values & Attributes:
o Commitment to PEAS’s values and high standards for school performance.
o Collaborative leadership style and resilience under pressure.
• Additional Requirements:
o Willingness to travel.
o Experience working with diverse stakeholders, from ministers to community-level teams.

Compensation:
• Salary: £67,000–£78,000 annually (adjusted for location and experience).
• Location: Any PEAS country of operation (Uganda, Zambia, Ghana, UK), with a preference for Africa-based candidates.
