JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Cluster Pastry Chef to lead the pastry and bakery operations across two prestigious branded hotels. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, drive innovation, and maintain exceptional quality across both properties. As the Cluster Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for developing seasonal dessert menus, leading pastry teams, and ensuring that every pastry and dessert exceeds guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of the pastry and bakery departments for both hotels, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.
• Develop innovative, seasonally-inspired dessert menus that align with our brand's culinary vision.
• Supervise production and presentation of all baked goods, desserts, and artisan pastries, ensuring consistency.
• Implement cost control measures and inventory management to minimize waste.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards, food safety regulations, and hygiene protocols.
• Lead, train, and motivate pastry teams across both properties, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Research & introduce new pastry trends, recipes, & concepts to elevate guest experience.
• Manage procurement of premium ingredients, controlling costs without compromising quality.
• Engage with guests to gather feedback and continuously improve offerings.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote dessert events and new launches.
What We're Looking For:
• Expertise in creating desserts, artisan breads, and cake decorating with attention to detail and creativity.
• Knowledge of modern pastry trends and innovative plating techniques.
• Strong leadership & team management skills to oversee pastry teams at multiple locations.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in high-volume environments.
• A passion for pastry arts and commitment to quality and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Culinary Degree/Diploma in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or Hotel & Restaurant Management.
• 10 years of pastry experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in a senior pastry leadership role within international branded hotels is required.
• Experience in high-volume pastry production and luxury dining concepts.
