JOB DETAILS:

Reports to: AGI Construction Site Lead
Job Type: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY
The Coating/Painting Insulation Specialist is in charge of detailed engineering, procurement, and construction management support interfacing with all other contractors for the project.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directly supporting EACOP to the Contractors ensuring delivery of the pipeline and associated AGI, MST facilities, and ETS infrastructure are on time and to budget.
• Monitor and report the contractor's performance regarding their production and application.
• Implement all engineering and Project HSSC policies.
• Ensure the safe execution of coating and painting on EACOP project sites.
• Inspect surface preparation and coating application procedures.
• Ensure that the contractor uses correct materials and storage methods as approved.
• Witness all required inspections, check coating methods against procedures.
• Ensure that work complies with approved method statements and project specifications.
• Review and audit quality assurance and quality control documentation.
• Liaise with relevant engineers for ongoing approvals and final inspection.
• Conduct quality and progress meetings as required.
• Ensure that the contractor sets up proper facilities and provides adequate equipment and calibrated tools.
• Ensure the contractor follows and implements appropriate training programs and qualification of operators.

Academic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification combined with extensive field experience in coating systems and applications.
• Certified NACE CIP or equivalent: BGAS-CSWIP, FROSIO.

Experience Required:
• 10+ years of experience in construction supervision in Oil & Gas or Hydrocarbon projects.
• A minimum of 5 years as coatings supervision.

Required Competencies:
• Proficiency in industry applications such as MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Knowledge of related codes and standards.
• Understanding technical requirements of engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to act as the key interface within the construction planning programs.
• High level of organization and ability to meet project deliverables and objectives.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Effective leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and multicultural contractor and project teams.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to changes or shifting priorities.
