Job details:
FRC is an NGO promoting adult education and community development among refugees since 1997 operational partner to OPM and UNHCR. FRC seeks to employ Ugandans for:

Community Development Officer - Adult Education; at Nakivale Refugee Settlement, lsingiro. This position is for year 2017 with a possibility to continue year at a time.

Main duties and responsibilities

• To plan, design and conduct trainings and materials related to literacy in local languages and English for adults.
  
• To arrange and promote practical exercises, activities and hands-on projects for adult learners in order to enhance functionality of the training courses.
  
• Identify, formulate and initiate relevant methods, models and practices for adult training.
  
• To sensitize and motivate volunteer instructors, adult learners, youth groups and other project beneficiary groups, and provide professional mentoring and support to them.

Academic Qualifications and competencies

• Bachelor degree on Adult Education I Pedagogy or Community Development with strong experience on adult education and literacy.
  
• Strong experience on training, material development, participatory assessments.
  
• At least 2 years professional work experience with communities.
