Overview

The Consortium Manager will lead the Consortium Management Unit (CMU) and will be responsible for effective and high-quality planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting of the U-Learn programme.
Under the guidance of the U-Learn Executive Committee, the Consortium Manager will directly oversee and support the implementation teams to deliver a coordinated and successful programme. He/She will ensure full integration of the components of U-Learn and constituent partners.

To be successful for this role you will bring/have the following:
• At least a Post-graduate university degree in international development, business administration, social policy, communications or related fields is desirable.
• At least 8-10 years’ work experience in the field of international development including management experience.
• Knowledge of current global and regional debates on nexus programming, refugee policies, the Grand Bargain commitments.
• Proven experience of developing and managing high quality, innovative and cost-effective technical projects in complex environments, preferably with International NGOs and in the field of MEAL.
• Demonstrated sound understanding of the three technical areas of implementation of the programme: Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), Research, and cross-sectoral Learning.
• Proven experience and skills in research and advocacy and influencing institutional, private and/or corporate development and humanitarian partners
• Ability to conceptualise, brainstorm, and collaboratively develop viable ideas for enhancing and improving strategy and programming.
• Experience in delivering multi-stakeholder, multi-year complex programmes with institutional funding, preferably from FDCO, including writing up high quality donor reports.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with local professionals, international donor organizations, civil society and private sector, host country government counterparts, and other implementing partners in developing countries and provide and capacity building of systems, partners and staff.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation, steering and coaching.
• Experience in management of finance and budget monitoring and risk management.
• Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy-in.
• Committed to the values and mandate of the RIL and SCI.
