JOB DETAILS:
Scope of Work
• The scope of work is limited burst of support to the project to plan, facilitate, provide related knowledge surveys, and deliver a final report. The Consultant is expected to develop their training plan which will be assessed for comprehensiveness.
Deliverables:
The consultant will be responsible for delivering the following deliverables, which will be linked directly to payment for services:
• A training program design document that outlines the specific training objectives, program structure, and training materials.
• Facilitation of workshops for the district biostatisticians grouped by regions including developing training materials (PowerPoint presentations, training manuals, and exercises) with input from PATH.
• Creation and delivery of baseline, midline, and endline mobile survey for participants in each region to measure knowledge and capacity growth.
• A comprehensive training report that includes detailed information on the training program structure, implementation, and outcomes.
• An evaluation report that includes feedback from the participants and recommendations for future improvements.
Expected level of effort – This consultancy is expected to be completed within 50 days with fluctuations in the number of hours per day depending on planned activities.
Project timeline
This engagement is majorly expected to take place between July and September 2023 with an endline survey in February 2024 as will be guided by the project team.
Required Experience
• University degree in Geospatial information systems, information technology, Public Health, Health informatics, or any related discipline from a recognized institution.
• At least 5years working experience in data management GIS, DHIS2, and public health data analysis.
• Experience in development of training materials, presenting to and training small to large size groups.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaboratively as a team member.
• Knowledge of GIS analysis software specifically use of QGIS and IT tools skills
• Ability to deliver high quality products under tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate a training workshop as described.
• Evidence of documentation from past similar experience
• Ability to commit to the timeline outlined below
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the office.
