Job Description
The suitable candidate shall be responsible for the following activities,
Corporate communications
• Participate in the development and implementation of communication plans and strategies to effectively reach TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda Limited’s (TEMUL) internal and external stakeholders Provide advice and support for all company events/functions in terms of communication planning and logistical support for communications initiatives
• Ensure the delivery and easy access to communications for staff through a range of channels and timely publication of company information such as memos and company directives.
Strategy
• Execute TotalEnergies’ Social Room Digital and Social Media strategy and plans for all affiliate platforms.
• Prepare and execute yearly TEMUL CSR plan
• Develop and execute CSR projects on behalf of TEMUL
• Work collaboratively between many key departments, including Finance, Operations, MD’s Office, Sales and Marketing
Reporting
• Coordinate our CSR reporting, including managing our partners and the CSR requests database. Communication
Drafting internal staff communications.
• Write internal news stories to raise awareness on key topics and celebrate our achievements.
• Prepare external news stories for our website, press releases and other communications.
• Support the production of the annual CSR report publication, including gathering content and preparing copy. Digital & social media management
• Ensure adherence to TotalEnergies’ Social Room digital strategies for all affiliate social media platforms.
• Adherence to TotalEnergies Website Factory for Business (TWF4B) guidelines and procedures for all Website Management duties.
• Working At TotalEnergies (WAT) internal communications platform management.
Candidate Profile.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be flexible.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Fluent in English
• High level of innovation and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-developed computer skills, including proven ability to maintain/update websites, and demonstrate understanding of the internet, social media, multi-media tools and desktop publishing
• High attention to detail
