About this Job

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator one of our clients CNOOC Uganda Limited.
Location: Hoima, Albert Lake production installation base or other cities in Uganda if required.
Primary function:
• Coordinate CSR activities in support of the implementation of the Company operations.

Responsibilities
• Develop, manage and coordinate implementation of corporate social responsibility policies, procedures and strategy.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, bi-annual and draft annual CSR reports that provides clear direction on strategy, delivery and performance.
• Collaborate with JV partners and on preparation of annual CSR programs and budgets and assist monitor their performance.
• Carry out CSR performance improvement on an ongoing basis through collaboration with JV partners on preparation of annual CSR programs and budgets.
• Organize and coordinate annual CSR review meetings.
• Coordinate Socio-economic impact assessments and associated action plans in collaboration with HSE team.
• Assist in the development of IFC compliance related materials and coordinate the implementation of IFC performance standards.
• Support the Company’s initiatives such as environmental awareness and local contents as they relate to social performance management.
• Develop and create a detailed social improvement plan for the operation and facilitate the co-creation of a long-term community development plan
• Work with project teams to implement local strategies, processes and procedures to address Community and Social Performance issues to assess the needs of individual projects and community impacts
• Manage the implementation of internal social performance process efficiency improvement project plans and monitor projects for changes to progress, budget, scope or risks
• Conduct quarterly Social performance trainings in the company’s area of operation
• Contribute to risk assessments and management planning as required.
• Participate in developing and managing the Involuntary Resettlement Framework in accordance with Ugandan Legislation and relevant World Bank/IFC Standards.
• Maintain good relationship with stakeholders and promote the Company’s imagine through CSR.
• Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social sciences, business, politics, economics or the related.
• At least 3 years of previous related experience.
• NGO background is highly preferred
• Background in extractive industries is added advantage
• Work experience with rural communities at Albert Lake area is highly preferred
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and management
• Previous experience in community affairs management
• Experience in the delivery of Community and Social Performance training
• Experience in designing and managing social improvement policies

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of the local community of Lake Albert required.
• Knowledge of local languages capability of the operation region is preferred.
• Knowledge of government social-economic development plans
• Research analysis
• Competent in company systems and related legislation
• Skills in community research and consultation activities
• Report compilation.
