JOB DETAILS:
Sokoni Africa Limited is currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling costs across our organization to ensure optimal financial performance. You will play a critical role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing effective cost control measures.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement cost control policies and procedures
• Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas of improvement
• Monitor and control expenses across departments
• Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and targets
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to cost control
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement cost reduction strategies
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with cost control measures
• Provides correct expense figures as requested to be given to Heads of Department.
• Ensures administrative and operation cost figures are correctly recorded and relevant expenses accounted.
• Ensures the accurate recording of all sundry and consumable goods purchased.
• Monitors daily input of stock movement (purchasing, receiving, issuing, transfers) into computer system on a cost basis.
• Prepares timetable and stock sheets for regular stock takes and coordinates timely counting and valuation.
• Approves invoices and statements for purchase prices as detailed from purchasing.
• Ensure that Procurement obtain up to date and accurate prices by comparing ‎prices against suppliers quotations.‎
• Check and review filled requisitions and ensure that goods are not issued more than ‎requested.‎
• Conduct spot check to ensure that the goods received are as per specifications and ‎the deliveries of goods by suppliers are consistent with the receiving schedule and ‎the storerooms are not overstocked especially during month end.‎
• Audit monthly stock and prepare reconciliation on all stores. ‎
• Post actual stock results in the system and print inventory valuation report.‎
• Reconcile all inventory accounts based on actual purchases and actual inventory ‎stock take and allocate the expenses to the respective department based on their ‎requisitions.‎
• Updating the Materials Control system with goods received notes ‎‎(GRNs), stock transfers etc.


Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Cost Controller or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using financial analysis software (Material control system ,SUN system) and MS Office Suite
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with different departments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
