Since its inception in 2020, PPL has played a pivotal role in the financial ecosystem, offering mobile wallet services, collections for merchants and third parties, and developing cutting-edge software solutions for various clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and reputable individual to join us as the Country Manager, overseeing all business operations and steering PPL towards industry leadership.
Position Overview: As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our team, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to the continued success and growth of PPL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic banking and/or FinTech, coupled with exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Integrity is paramount, as the selected candidate will undergo thorough vetting by both PPL and the Bank of Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership to the team, driving PPL towards becoming an industry leader.
• Oversee and optimize all business operations, including mobile wallet services, collections, and software solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective strategies for business growth and expansion.
• Foster a positive and innovative work culture that encourages collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Bank of Uganda, clients, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold the highest standards of integrity.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a leadership role within electronic banking and/or FinTech.
• Strong understanding of the FinTech landscape, industry trends, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
• Demonstrated track record of driving business growth and achieving strategic objectives.
• Integrity and ethical conduct in all professional dealings.
