JOB DETAILS:
AirQo was founded to bridge the gap in air quality data across African cities. We are looking for passionate and motivated university students to join our team as a Data Engineering Intern. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, working on real-world projects that contribute to our mission of cleaner air in all African cities.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the design, building, and maintenance of data pipelines.
• Implementing ETL processes to efficiently ingest and extract data from various sources.
• Working with data warehouses and big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Automating data processing tasks to streamline data flow.
• Collaborating with data scientists and functional leaders to deploy machine learning models.

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Python, Linux Programming, and data storage systems (SQL, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with Google or similar cloud-based tools and technologies.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of data engineering.
