JOB DETAILS:

Kabale Regional Referral Hospital has received a grant from EGPAF under the USAID RHITES-SW project to support implementation on of Integrated Health Services, including quality maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, malaria and child development services at the hospital. It is for this reason that Kabale Referral Hospital seeks to recruit qualified candidates for the following positions located at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital to help achieve the mandate of the grant. Employment shall be on contract for a period of one year renewable depending on performance and availability of resources. Successful candidates will be based at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital

Reports to: Senior Data officer
Qualifications: Minimum of a Degree in either computer science, IT, Statistics and Records Management is required Extensive experience performing compilation and entry of health related data into Open MRS and DHIS2 databases.
Good knowledge of relevant HMIS, indicators and reporting systems especially for HIV service delivery
Duties and responsibilities:
• Preparing and sorting patients fi les and registers
• Identifying data to be entered in the electronic medical system
• Keeping truck of received patients fi les and registers that are used for data record and entry
• Entering HMIS reports and DHIS2 on to me
• Creating data cleaning queries to validate and free data from any anomalies according to data analysis procedures
• Maintaining confidentiality of data entered
• Compiling and submits project reports to partners and in DHIS2
• Advising and implementing a mechanism for safeguarding Computer hard ware and other accessories in the data room
• Providing technical support to all hospital units to ensure quality in HMIS data collected
• Responding to all other HMIS data requests from partners and hospital management as and when necessary.
