JOB DETAILS:
Description and purpose: The successful candidate will enter and maintain accurate and reliable data into MU-JHU’s clinical research and program databases.
Required qualifications and profile:
• A minimum of a Diploma in Statistics, IT, Medical Records or equivalent with at least 2 years working experience in a busy institution. Prior experience with clinical or implementation science research would be an added advantage. The applicant should be computer literate especially with Microsoft Office packages. The desired person must be someone who has fast and accurate typing speeds, pays attention to detail, able to multi–task and willing to work beyond official work hours whenever the need arises. The person should have basic understanding of databases and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of statistical programs e.g. STATA, R, SPSS is an added advantage.
The holder of this position will be accountable to the Data Manager (BoostME Study) and work closely with the various study team members (Investigator and Study Coordinator) and will be responsible for the following duties:
• Electronic data entry and verification.
• Electronic data quality control to ensure that data is of good quality
• Track participant clinic visits.
• Print participants PTID labels
• Provide study teams with organized files for data collection.
• Identify any inconsistencies within the source documents to the Data Manager for verification and editing.
• Provide feedback regarding data issues to the study and project teams.
• Participate in protocol study trainings and meetings.
• Maintain Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subject Protection (HSP) certification.
