The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) seeks to end pediatric HIV/AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs. We are a global leader in the tight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 15 countries and at 7,000 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to help those already HIV infected. Today, because of the highly successful work of the Foundation and its partners over the last 25 years, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States and new infections in children have declined by 56% worldwide. USAID Regional Health integration to Enhance Services in the South West Uganda project that aims to increase the availability, accessibility, and quality of integrated health services including HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment; maternal, neonatal, and child health services; family planning; nutrition assessment and counseling and support; malaria prevention and treatment; and other primary care services. Deputy Country Director
The Deputy Country Director will report to the Country Director. Hel She will serve as a member of SMT and will partner with the Country Director in the overall leadership of the country program. He / she will provide support, direction and coordination across the whole EGPAF Uganda program with an operations focus, ensuring effective delivery of the program, and integration and synthesis across all units. He / she will drive strategic planning at the unit level, and will be responsible for developing the overall operations strategy. He/she will be required to build a strong management structures and capacity that ensures timely and effective delivery of the strategy and the performance of operations unit to ensure a high level of accountability and responsiveness. A significant part of the DCD responsibility will be to provide oversight of operations management practices to reduce risk and ensure compliance with donor and EGPAF policies.
