JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; or Electrical Engineering and any other related course or any other related field, plus a Master’s Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University or Institution. Applicants should be registered with the Uganda Engineers Registration Board (UERB) and should be Members to any other relevant Professional Associations.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of ten (10) years working experience, five (5) of which should have been gained at Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Executive Director for performing the following duties:-
• Planning, developing and reviewing the Annual Engineering and technical works Plan, set benchmarks for the implementation of the planned projects, evaluate the performance of the plan and generate Reports to management as required.
• Designing and implementing projects aiming at the improving the performance of the City infrastructure in line with KCCA mandate.
• Planning, designing and managing the construction, rehabilitation, upgrading and periodic maintenance of the City drainage systems and City Roads including the Road marking and signage in line with the approved work plan.
• Planning, designing and managing the provision of traffic and street lighting for the City in line with KCCA work plan.
• – Planning, designing and managing the construction and maintenance of the City Authority Building Infrastructure in line with the approved work plan.
• Designing and implementing a system for Planning and coordinating the repair of the city motor vehicles and machinery in line with the Authority management policies.
• Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
