Purpose Of The Job
To carry out research and innovation into various aspects for the purpose of
establishing, improving or developing modern methods or techniques of selection and
use of science products.

Duties And Responsibilities
• Coordinating the implementation and training of all research, development and
innovations
• Working as an outreach providing a link or bridge between the University and the
• World of work in identifying research that are relevant to the needs of industry,
commerce, and professions
• Advising on research priorities geared to the fulfillment of National Development
• professional objectives.
• Coordinating, monitoring and providing an enabling environment for quality
• research training, innovative research and communication of the research
outputs
• Fostering and managing graduate training and research in the University units
by promoting cutting edge innovative, impact-oriented research and centres of
• excellence to meet the changing needs of society and for sustainable development
• Coordinating the application and dissemination of research development
innovation inputs, evolution and dissemination of innovation efforts.
• Supporting the promotion of research development and of indigenous innovations
for the purpose of facilitating indigenous knowledge system.
• Providing leading in identification and prioritization of new areas of science,
• echnology and innovation and indigenous knowledge

Person Specifications
• should have a PHD in a relevant field
• Should have a Master’s degree
• Should have Hon. Bachelor’s degree
• Should have a minimum of eight (8) years working experience in a research
• related a reputable organization, three (3) of which should have been in a
• university system
• Should have good leadership and communication skills.
• Should be computer literate.
