JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Economics; or Finance; or Accounting; or Business Administration; or Law; or Social Sciences; or Statistics; or any other related field from a recognized University / Institution. plus a Master’s Degree in either Economics; or Finance; or Accounting; or Business Administration; or Law; or Management; or any other related field from a recognized University or Institution. Applicants should have specialized training in either Taxation; or Revenue Administration. Professional qualification in either ACCA or CIMA or CPA will be an added advantage.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of ten (10) years working experience, five (5) of which should have been gained at Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Executive Director for performing the following duties:
Planning and setting benchmarks for the development, and review of national work- plans for audits assessments and collection programs in the Authority Revenues.
• Reviewing and approving audits and issue guidelines for the assessments made in line with Departmental Guidelines.
• Planning and managing Objections and Appeals against assessments in line with Departmental Guidelines.
• Monitoring and evaluating revenue assessment and collection strategies and generate weekly, monthly and bi-annual projection reports.
• – Providing technical advice regarding taxes and fees collection management in line with the Authority tax collection procedures and systems.
• Budgeting, planning and allocating departmental resources (human, physical and Final) in accordance with the Authority‘s guidelines.
• Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
