JOB DETAILS:
CESVI is an International Non-Governmental Organization mandated to work in emergency, recovery and development settings. CESVI’s mission is to transform into action the concept of ‘human solidarity and social justice into humanitarian aid and development initiatives for the affirmation of universal human rights’.
CESVI has been operational in Uganda since 2001 and is currently working in partnership among others with the WFP; implementing Livelihood, Food security, COVID19 emergency responses and General Food Assistance programs in the humanitarian context of Palabek settlement, Lamwo district. CESVI is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions
Title: Distribution Assistants
Reports to: Final Distribution Point Team Leader

Location Palabek Refugee settlement
Contract duration 10 months
Expected start ASAP
Purpose of Position
To ensure proper and accurate distribution of the food basket by household rations based on household size.
Major Responsibilities
• Ensure that each household accurately receives the required amount of food commodities by weight as per assigned food rations
• Ensure optimal adherence to distribution protocols/guidelines inline with COVID19 prevention
• Carry out adequate mobilization relating to food distribution.
• Ensure that protection and gender issues are streamlined along the food prepackaging areas.
• Take an active role in preventing food commodity loses.
• Work with casual laborers in maintaining cleanliness of the FDP and its surrounding
• Actively participate in the implementation of cross cutting and Complementary activities to GFA as will be implemented from time to time.
• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Diploma/certificate in agriculture, Business administration, Education or related fields.
• Ability to speak Luo, Arabic and Kiswahili is desirable
• Requires excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English
• Able to work in demanding environment and adaptable to rapidly changing contexts.
