How you'll help us achieve it
We’re looking for a Distribution supervisor who is dynamic with strong management skills, details and people-oriented.
The Distribution Supervisor will ensure the supervision and optimal functioning of a team of distributors working in specific zones by ensuring the achievement of set operational objectives. Distributors' job involves spreading the word around Wave and registering new users. The Distribution Supervisor will help us reach our objective of creating a tremendous user growth machine by successfully managing distributors.
In this role, you'll:
Manage a team of 7-10 distributors
Coach, train and mentor your team to achieve the desired market impact and targets
Scout zones where distribution should happen
Give guidance on the zone where the distributors should work
Make sure the distributors have all the necessary supplies and work materials daily
Check distributors' attendance and report on absenteeism.
Encourage and motivate distributors to perform to their fullest potential
Report daily on distribution, needs, and feedback from the field to their territory lead
Help to create awareness about Wave Mobile Money, including its benefits for clients.
Help with the training and smooth onboarding of new distributors and enforce a good work environment and team-building.
Monitor progress related to distribution activities in the field
Key details
Location: You will be based in Mbale and may travel to other field locations
Work authorization in Uganda is required
This is a permanent position

Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline
3+ years of work experience in B2C sales, mobile money, banking, or FMCG sectors.
Previous experience managing and mentoring large teams
Fluency in English plus any other local language, preferably Luganda or Lugisu
Willingness to relocate to Mbale if not located in the region
Strong oral and written communication skills
