Diversity Officer
SeaOwl Energy Services is part of the SeaOwl Group, an international service provider specialised in a wide range of Recruitment, Manpower Contracting & Management, Asset Management, Training, Professional Services and Integrated Services for the Construction, Energy, Extractives, Logistics, Mining and Manufacturing sectors. On behalf of our Client in the Extractives sector, we are looking for (a) competent individual(s) to fill the following position:
POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION
Job Title: Diversity Officer
Direction: Human Resources
Location: Kampala
ACTIVITIES
At all times the job holder will:
HR Campaigns:
• Implement and lead diversity awareness in affiliate
• Induction & Mentoring programmes: Develop and supervise induction & mentoring campaigns for new hires (HSE induction, HR induction, through completion of probation process), and TWICE mentoring
• Diversity Roadmap: Develop and implement the Diversity Road map for the affiliate
• Ensure implementation and adoption of other relevant HQ and company campaigns and projects as approved
HR Change Management:
• Preparation of forecasts, and evaluation of the actual impact of changes
• Cooperation with respective project teams and line managers involved in the organizational change
• Identification of potential risks for resistance as well as development of plans to intervene
• Support and management of the necessary communication activities related to the changes
Employee Engagement, Studies and Surveys:
• Ensure that employee engagement initiatives (opinion & satisfaction surveys) are implemented in all company locations with the appropriate feedback mechanism in place.
• Benchmark HR practices with other organisations and industries with a view to improving processes
Reporting:
• Ensure timely production of weekly, monthly and annual HR divisional management reports.
• Provide accurate, consistent and professional advice on diversity issues, show areas for improvement
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Qualification:
• University Degree in Human Resources.
• HR professional Qualifications added advantage.
Experience:
• Minimum 5-8 years’ Human Resources experience.
• Job requires a very good knowledge of HR function
• Strong written, interpersonal & communication skills: Networking capabilities are required in order to promote and enhance work of diverse teams.
• Experience at managing cross functional teams
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, project management, and change management skills

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
