Uganda Development Corporation
The Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) was set up by the Uganda Development Corporation Act 2016 as the investment arm of Government with the primary objective of facilitating industrial and economic development of the country. This objective is met through; establishment of subsidiary and associated companies, entering into public private partnerships with any commercial, industrial or agricultural undertaking or enterprises, assisting in financing and management of undertakings promoting industrial or economic development; and promoting and facilitating research into industrial development.

UDC now seeks to fill in the vacant position below;
Job Title: Driver
Reports to: Senior Human Resource & Administration Officer

Purpose of the Job:
Driving Corporation Vehicles so as to enable smooth running of work/activities of the corporation.

Main Duties:
• Driving Corporation Vehicles and ensuring the safety of staff and property in them
• Ensuring the Corporation vehicles are kept clean and tidy
• Reporting the Corporation vehicles servicing, repairs, expiry of 3rd Party Insurance or Comprehensive to the Supervisor
• Maintaining Vehicles Log Books for duties at work station and in the field.
• Ensuring the Vehicles are fueled at the right time and have the correct level of lubricants and tyre recommended pressure.
• Assisting in delivery of messages, mails and other office documents
• Collect Corporation's mails from Post Office and any other place as may be required
• Any other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Person Specifications
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of Uganda certificate of Education (UCE)
• Valid Driving license
• At least 3 years driving experience in a reputable organization

Skill & Abilities
• Strong team work and interpersonal skills
• Communication skills
• Defensive driving skills
