JOB DETAILS:
EACOP Uganda Entitlement & Compensation Officers will check, fix (review and where necessary identify corrections to draft Compensation Agreements), prepared by the RAP Contractor to ensure that they contain the correct details for each PAP, including:
Roles and Duties
• PAP name and identity, including spouses where appropriate;
• EACOP PAP Reference;
• PAP location (District, Sub-County, Village);
• Valuation Assessment References;
• PAP bank account details, per EACOP bank account data files;
• Statutory compensation amounts per CGV approved Valuation Reports for affected land and assets, including structures, crops and cultural heritage assets;
• Project compensation Uplift calculations, per EACOP Uplift data files; and
• Additional project entitlements, such as transitional support and livelihood restoration support, per EACOP entitlement data files.
• The Officers will also assist in dispatch and receipt of documents to and from the field, as well as hard and soft copy filing of Compensation Agreements and related documents.
• The Officers will update excel based trackers showing the status of Compensation Agreements through the preparation, signing and payment process.
• Context and Environment
• She/he will work under the management and supervision of the EACOP Uganda Compensation Coordinator and are required to demonstrate exemplary behavior with regard to compliance and HSE rules & requirements. She/he shall be positioned in EACOP Kampala Office.
• Accountabilities
• Ensure that PAP Compensation Agreements and related documentation are correctly prepared in line with the CGV Valuation Reports and EACOP cross-check files relating to data fields such as PAP identity and details, Project compensation uplift, additional Project entitlements and PAP bank account details.
• Update tracker files on the status of PAP documentation on a timely, systematic and accurate basis.
• Undertake all activities in compliance with EACOP Uganda compliance and HSE rules and regulations.
