JOB DETAILS:
Cheshire Services Uganda (CSU) is a Non-Governmental Organization working in the field of disability and development. Our programmes support persons with disabilities, orphans and other vulnerable groups through Education, Livelihoods, Health and Rehabilitation and Advocacy and Support for every day living and campaign and Advocacy. Cheshire Services Uganda seeks to recruit a qualified individual to fill the position of EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.
Purpose:
The Executive Director working closely with the Board will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction and resource support to ensure that the organization‘s goals and strategic objectives are achieved.
Position: Executive Director
Reports to: Board of Directors
Duty Station: Kampala.

Key responsibilities and tasks:
• Board support and governance
• Leadership
• Financial management
• Programme/ service development and accountability
• People management
• Operations and facilities management
• Communication and community relations
• Resource development and maintenance
• Contract administration

Qualifications and experience:
• Degree in Economics, Finance, social sciences, Business Administration, development studies or other related disciplines plus a master’s degree in any of the following; Economics, commerce, management, business Administration or any other related field.
• Seven (7) years of working experience at a senior management level in NGO environment most preferably working with people with disabilities two (2) years of which should be at Chief Executive level.
• Proven experience working with donors and partners.
