JOB DETAILS:
METGE wishes to recruit an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership to a young and ambitious organisation. Having already completed the distribution of 10 million trees, METGE is seeking an exceptional individual to lead the next phase of the tree distribution programme. This post will involve working with the Chair, Board, and Senior Management, to build capability and capacity. The programme's aim is to respond to climate change by adaption and mitigation through the planting of trees and to alleviate poverty.
The successful candidate must have a degree in forestry, agriculture, agroforestry or environmental studies and an MBA. Based in Mbale, Eastern Uganda, the person will have proven leadership experience to take on this challenge of managing a small dedicated team and outsourcing operations to partners. .
