JOB DETAILS:
METGE wishes to recruit an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership to a young and ambitious NGO. Having already completed the distribution of TS million trees, METGE is seeking an exceptional individual to lead the next phase of the tree distribution programme. The post will involve working with the chair, board and senior management to build capability, capacity and delivery at pace. The‘ Executive Director will be working day- to-day with the Programme Manager to ensure that the annual programme is delivered, and budgets are managed.
The programme’s aim is to respond to climate change by adaption and mitigation through the planting of trees and to alleviate poverty in rural communities. .

The successful candidate must have a degree in forestry, agriculture, agroforestry or environmental studies and an MBA or significant senior management experience. Based in Mbale, Eastern Uganda the person will have proven leadership experience to take on this challenge of managing a small, dedicated team and outsourcing operations to partner organisations
