JOB DETAILS:
To Provide the strategic vision and leadership needed for THETA to continue promoting collaboration between the Traditional and Biomedical Health Systems through: good governance, a secure funding base and social entrepreneurship, in line with the National Health Policy

Job roles and responsibilities, Specification and Competences for the Job:
• Provide strategic leadership to THETA.
• Chief accounting officer of THETA in all aspects of management.
• Provide leadership and management to all THETA operations in Uganda and ensure that THETA culture, values are promoted and visible.
• Work closely with the THETA AB in setting priorities for the organization.
• Represent management and staff in the THETA AB meetings and support the AB secretary in these meetings.
• Finance and Administration
• Oversee all financial functions of the organizations.
• Participate in strategic and operational budgeting processes.
• Ensure that all admin and financial policies and procedures of the organization are upheld by staff.
• Ensure that financial reports are accurate and are submitted to all stakeholders as scheduled
• Human resources management
• Responsible for supervision of direct reporting staff, and accountable for the rest of staff.
• Participate in staff recruitment for all managerial positions.
• Conduct annual appraisal for all direct reporting staff.
• Resource mobilization
• Represent THETA and the Board in meetings/fora aimed at raising resources for the organization
• Provide support to the Board in identifying and following potential funding opportunities for THETA
• Ensure timely submission of written proposals.
• Building and maintaining partnerships
• Identifying relevant stakeholders/partners that are in line with THETA objectives
• Strengthening existing partnerships with Governments, NGOs etc
• Public relations
• Identify opportunities for promoting THETA vision, mission, values and priorities
• Ensure that THETA image is promoted in the public/community, with Government, partners and donors
• Official spokesperson for the organization

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB), Doctor of Medicine (MD).
• Master’s Degree in either Public Health, Business Administration.
