Uganda National Oil Company Ltd (UNOC), the Kampala Storage Terminal (KST) developer, invites experienced and reputable companies or consortia to express interest in partnering with UNOC to develop and operate KST as a merchant terminal at Namwabula, Mpigi district. The terminal shall be developed in at least two (2) phases starting with an estimated 100 million litres capacity.

Requirements

UNOC desires to secure a joint venture partner for the KST that;

1. Is compliant with legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements of the petroleum products storage and trading business.
2. A proven track record in trading and marketing petroleum products within East Africa and Africa.
3. A proven track record in development and operation of similar petroleum products storage terminals and related facilities.
4. Financial and technical capability to undertake KST development and trading operations.
5. A good track record of HSSE and compliance with local and international standards for similar projects.
6. Committed to National Content.

Interested companies or consortia that possess the aforementioned capability should submit to the contact and email address below an EOI Letter requesting for a pre-qualification questionnaire not later than 21st April 2023. The EOI Letter shall be submitted with the Power of Attorney (POA) to engage UNOC on the project and should be signed by the person holding the PoA.

The EOI letter shall include the following information: (i) Company name; (ii) Authorized contact person(s), contact details (email, telephone, physical address); (iii) Annual traded volumes in the last five (5) years; (iv) Highest financing raised for construction projects in the last five (5) years.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be sent on 28th April 2023 via KSTAdmin@unoc.co.ug  to companies or consortia that express interest to submit information that will be used for evaluation.
