Prime Vocational Institute (PVI) is a leading registered private training institution committed to producing market-oriented skilled professionals in technical, vocational and business education for gainful employment and sustainable development.
PVI offers National Certificates under UBTEB in Agriculture, Automotive Mechanics, Electrical, plumbing, Building and Construction, Catering and Hotel Management, Fashion and Design. We have developed innovative training programmes including linkages with the industry and establishment of production units both at the Institute and within communities.
These initiatives provide an opportunity for hands on training in real work life situations for our students. PVI is presently operating at her own campus at Bugabwe, iganga district. We have 24 qualified and experienced staff, with equipped workshops and with students from all over the regions of Uganda. Since its inception in 2012, the Institute has traiped over 1300 trainees (over 25% female) in various courses.
The Institute focuses on a holistic empowerment of trainees through entrepreneurship skills, ICT competences, life skills development and nurturing of talents through co-curricular activities. .
