About the Role
The organization is seeking an experienced and results-driven Farm Manager to oversee and optimize its 1000 Ha farm operations. The candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to expand production, enhance profitability, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role requires at least five years of experience managing crops like maize, soybeans, passion fruits, and groundnuts.
The ideal candidate will also manage day-to-day activities on the farm, including crop rotations, irrigation, pest management, and staff supervision, while fostering a safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies to expand farm productivity and ensure sustainability.
• Supervise all farm activities, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, pest control, and staff management.
• Optimize resource use to minimize waste while maximizing yield.
• Ensure farm practices adhere to quality standards such as GlobalGAP, GRASP, and SMETA.
• Lead and motivate the farm team while fostering a positive work environment.
• Oversee inventory and ensure regular restocking of seeds, fertilizers, and other critical supplies.
• Monitor and evaluate farm productivity through performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive farm management plans, including budgets and reports, for senior management review.
• Foster relationships with local communities, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders to advance farm operations.

Qualifications and Requirements
• A degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in farm management.
• Strong knowledge of crop production, pest control, and soil health management practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with farm certification standards (GlobalGAP, GRASP, SMETA) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in data analysis and farm management software.
