JOB DETAILS:

ABU is looking for suitable and well-behaved field technicians to work under the project entitled "commercializing maize production for smallholder farmers". It is located in Northern Uganda, particularly Gulu District.

Roles and responsibilities
• Recruitment of farmers and training recruited farmers on good agronomic and postharvest handling practices in the maize value chain
• Ensuring sustainable maize production
• Timely distribution of inputs
• Performing any other task as assigned by your supervisor

Qualification and Specifications
• Minimum of a diploma in crop agronomy, Agribusiness, and/or any other related field
• At least one year of field work experience
• Good computer literacy
• Experience in maize production
• Ability to ride a motorcycle
• Knowledge of the local language [Acholi]


Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: Associate Degree
