ABOUT THE ROLE
Adara Development is seeking a Finance Assistant
Duties
- To manage daily mobile money payments and the petty cash register of Adara Development (Uganda) (DEVU)
- To maintain financial entries in the Accounting System
- To monitor and evaluate financial policies and procedures
- To assist Adara to meet its compliance and statutory requirements
- To otherwise support the Finance Officer as required
ABOUT YOU
- Relevant degree or diploma in business, accounting, or economics
- A minimum of one-year experience in a relevant role
- Knowledge of key compliance and regulatory bodies in Uganda, including the Ugandan Revenue Authority
- Experience using accounting software to manage payments and reconciliations
- Computer literate, and experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- The ability to work on multiple tasks and in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of, and ability to follow, internal controls and procedures
