WHO WE ARE
Action for Health Uganda (A4HU) is a youth empowerment organization dedicated to mainstream young peoples’ engagement in socio-economic development and promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and rights (SRHR).
A4HU was registered in October 2017 as a new entity to take over the operations of DSW (Deutsche Stittung Weltbevoelkerung) in Uganda. For the past 18 years DSW has supported the implementation of a portfolio of projects to improve sexual and reproductive health of young people in Uganda.
We strive to empoweryoung people fora healthytuture through capacity development programmes by supporting youth empowerment centres (YECs) and youth clubs in capacity development and organisational management. This includes enhancement of: leadership, group management, lite skills and sexuality education, entrepreneurship and business development
We further strengthen the capacity of health workers from selected health facilities to provide routine quality youth-friendly integrated SRHR and family planning services.
Action 4 Health operate mobile rural outreach services using its Youth Truck, which give access to information and training to vulnerable young people in hard-to-reach areas and supporting the peer-led outreach events
A4HU will remain an affiliate to DSW international based in Hanover Germany
