About the Role:

EMI Uganda is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the organization’s financial resources with integrity and excellence. The role involves:

  • Financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Ensuring all financial processes align with EMI’s mission and best practices.
  • Playing a key role in supporting leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Vibrant Christian faith.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (a Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • ACCA/CPA certification.
    • Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws, financial reporting, and audit processes.
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial analysis tools.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
    • Oversee financial transactions, payroll processing, and compliance with Ugandan tax laws.
    • Ensure effective financial systems, accountability, and internal controls.
    • Track accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and ethical financial records.
    • Manage financial audits and liaise with EMI Global and Mobilizing Office finance teams.
    • Supervise the Finance Administrator and other finance staff.
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Oversee financial transactions, payroll processing, and compliance with Ugandan tax laws. Ensure effective financial systems, accountability, and internal controls. Track accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and ethical financial records. Manage financial audits and liaise with EMI Global and Mobilizing Office finance teams. Supervise the Finance Administrator and other finance staff.
