JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
As Imprint Hope finance officer, you will make a key contribution to IH’s mission by ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of Imprint Hope’s financial transactions. Your skills and experience will help us to monitor and record daily financial transactions to ensure accurate record keeping of daily expenses. Your primary responsibility is to manage the cash box, record all financial transactions, retrieve receipts, and balance input/output of funds on a daily and monthly basis. Your skills and experience as a finance officer will help in essential ways to maximize the impact of IH programs for the children and families we serve. As a finance officer you must embody the core values of integrity, respect, understanding, teamwork, and respect. Your skills will ensure the team prioritizes the stewardship of IH resources and the safety of all IH staff and clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Properly conduct cash-box and mobile money transactions per properly filled and approved payment request forms (advance / payment / liquidation/ reimbursement).
• Record all cash-box and mobile money transactions accurately and immediately in the Cash-Box Ledger Book.
• Conduct informal cash count to ensure balance with Cash Box Ledger.
• For Completed Payment Request Forms (completed transactions), record all transactions accurately in the IH General Ledger Excel Sheet – ensuring accurate budget category and accrual to proper period.
• Provide a financial snapshot to the senior management team (based on simple pivot table of IH GL Excel Sheet).
• Complete Payment Record Review Form on a weekly basis and submit to the director.
• Attend bi-weekly supervision/coaching meetings.
• Participate in IH Professional development in-services.
• Prepare Monthly Finance Report (by 5th of following month) and submit to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Requirements
• Diploma in a related field (e.g. finance, accounting, etc). A degree in a related field is an advantage.
• Fluent in spoken and written Luganda and English; Lusoga is an advantage
• Basic computer skills (typing, word processing, spreadsheets) are an advantage
