Soroti Fruits Limited (SOFTE) is a fruit processing factory and a subsidiary of Uganda Development Corporation (UDC). The company produces ready to drink fruit juice as well as concentrates from Ugandan fruits notably Oranges and Mangoes. Title: Finance and Administration Manager

Job Summary:
The Finance& Administration Manager will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, administration, and IT..

Main Duties
• Manage the internal Financial Resources of SOFTE to implement its business plan.
• initiate, develop and implement policies. strategies and procedures for SOFTE’s internal financial management and control.
• Prepare statutory financial reports and management accounts, budgets, and cash flow planning for SOFTE.
• initiate, develop and implement internal iinancial control procedures and manuals‘
• Control the implementation of financial policies, procedures and practices.
• Manage SOFTE finances (cash flow, verification of expenditure, bank reconciliation etc.)
• Lead SOFTE Budget formulation, implementation, monitoring & its performance review.
• Compile SOFTE financial management reports and advise on issues related to them.
• Supervise and mentor staff within this Department ensure e ectrve imp ement on of their duties.
• Advise management of pertinent policy developments and reviews.
• Support the legal regulatory process. Have an input to the legal services for SOFl'E.
• Develop and implement procurement policy for both core business and administrative goods and services.
• Provide technical support with respect to analysis/evaluation of tender bids for competitive and framework contract procurement.
• Oversee the preparation and monitor procurement contract performance and
• Ensure that the Procurement system co institutional and/or PPDA and any other relevant legislations. the best value proposition through the For Money assigned by the CEO

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• A Master's Degree in Business Administration/Finance and Accounting or other relevant degree. CSA or a Diploma in Legal Studies is an advantage. at a managerial level.
• Should be result oriented, team player high degree of professionalism.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting package is Should have good analytical skills.
• Should have good leadership, mentoring communication skills.
• Experience in FMCG environment will be added advantage
