Job Description
Masaka Relief Foundation (MRF) is seeking a motivated and organized Finance and Administration Officer to play a key role in implementing finance and administration policies. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management and administrative skills to support the organization's growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance Management
• Implement financial policies and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, accounts, and transaction receipts.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, managing cash flow, and developing financial forecasts.
• Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Oversee payment processes for vendors, staff salaries, and operational expenses.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
2. Administration and Office Management
• Manage daily office operations and ensure smooth administrative processes.
• Oversee procurement of office supplies, equipment, and services to ensure cost-efficiency.
• Organize and maintain both physical and digital files for easy access.
• Provide administrative support to senior leadership, including scheduling and communications.
• Assist in the development and implementation of organizational policies.
3. Compliance and Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare financial documents for audits and maintain up-to-date records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in a growing organization or startup.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Ethical Standards: High integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and administrative information.
