JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose.
The Job Holder will be Financial Controller for Pine Investments Ltd and its sister companies (Syncrest Investments, Specialized warehouses, Platinum packaging and Petflakes).
The Financial Controller will collect and analyze financial data and ensure that all reports are in compliance the regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
• Review monthly and quarterly management accounts and ensuring timely submission of the same to
• financial partners
• Preparation of final accounts as well as filing with URA
• Review terms and conditions of Bank loan, give professional advice on the same and ensure that proper conversions of foreign exchange rates are done.
• Review financials from auditors and advise Directors accordingly before they are sent to commercial banks.
• Contribute to financial forecasts, financial adjustments, written explanations for variances to forecasts and analyzing options to enable budget holders to make informed decisions.
• Assist in preparation of timely and accurate presentations and board papers to the Board
• Prepare and submit monthly management reports to the Directors.
• Ensure that quarterly reports are sent to the auditors for review by the 15th day of the month following the end of a quarter.
• Ensure that final accounts are presented to the auditors within 45 days from the end of the financial year.
• Assist with the preparation of yearend accounts.
• Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and engaging those partners (NSSF, KCCA and URA) proactively.
Stakeholder Management
• Engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders in the course of work while upholding and promoting the company’s image
• Participate in various meetings (internal and external forums) and provide comments/ opinions on matters affecting or concerning the company.
• Engage and work collaboratively external auditors and accountants
• Reporting
• Prepare and submit regular and/or periodic reports as and when required to provide progress updates and/or inform management decisions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• Relevant certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA) will be preferred
• At least five (5) years’ relevant experience
