JOB DETAILS:
Summary
• Responsible for delivering financial literacy and business skills training to refugees and the host communities both in the urban and rural settings.
• He/she will be a financial inclusion point of contact for the Refugee targeted beneficiaries’ groups, local SACCOs and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) for FINCA Uganda. He /he will also carry out group(s) identification and marketing, training activities and Financial institution linkages.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out Financial literacy training of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) and Refugees groups, conducting needs assessment of other trainings required
2. Training clients about FINCA Uganda, expectations and the Terms and Conditions
3. Managing refugees and host communities group engagements
4. Profiling and segmenting refugees and host community Village Savings and Loans Associations for FINCA services.
5. Marketing all FINCA Uganda products and services to refugees and host communities
6. Managing field account opening services, handling client enquiries and sensitization
7. Maintaining relationships by visiting trained groups and periodically attending group meetings
8. Monitoring and managing Financial literacy outreach portfolio of the Village Savings and Loan Associations as a point of contact
9. Monitoring and following up on clients and reminding them to practice saving, make payments of loans, use of alternative delivery channels.
10. Ensuring compliance to FINCA policies as well as terms and conditions attached to loans.
11. Ensuring implementation of transformation activities such as data collection, client profiling and capturing of client success stories

f) Strong in in English and at least 2 local languages
g) Ability to travel long distances to reach the most remote
h) Ability to build collaborative relationships and to deal diplomatically at all levels

j) Excellent adult training skills
k) Professionalism.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration or Diploma in any business related fields from a recognized University/Institution
• Financial literacy and/or business management skills training an added advantage
• Experience in training groups of people and in financial institutions’ products (savings and lending or VSLA/SACCO).
