Recruitment Of Financial Management Specialist To Support Two (02) Projects; Irrigation For Climate Resilience Project (Icrp), And Integrated Water Management & Development Project (IWMDP)
The Government of Uganda (GOU) represented by the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of implementation of two (02) projects; (i) Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP), and (ii) Integrated Water Management & Development Project (IWMDP).
Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP): The project development objective (PDO) is to provide farmers in the project areas with access to irrigation and other agricultural services, and to establish Operation and Maintenance arrangements for irrigation service delivery. ICRP is implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAF).
Integrated Water Management & Development Project (IWMDP): The project development objective (PDO) is to improve access to water supply and sanitation services, capacity for integrated water resources management and the operational performance of water and sanitation service providers in the IWMDP Project areas. The Project is being implemented by the Ministry of Water & Environment (MWE), and the National Water & Sewerage Corporation (NWSC).
The MWE now invites suitably qualified individuals, with qualifications and experience as detailed in terms of reference to apply for the position of Financial Management Specialist for the above projects. The successful candidate will be required to commence work as soon as he/she is selected. The assignment shall be for a period of two years subject to probation period of six months, and is renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

Position: Financial Management Specialist
Reporting: The consultant will have two reporting lines. Administrative Reporting to the Project Coordinator Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project, and to the Coordinator for the Integrated Water Management & Development Project. Functional Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner - Accounts, Ministry of Water and Environment
